PHOTOGRAPHY PROGRAM

• $100 will be deducted from your next payout after the shoot is completed and at least 15 photos are live on your Hipcamp page.

• Cancellations within 24 hrs will be subject to a $50 fee. Please try to reschedule if need be, but give ample notice.

• The photographer will book one free night to stay at your Hipcamp for the photoshoot. They are not required to stay overnight.

• The photographer might bring a friend or family with them to act as models.

• We don’t offer refunds for completed photo shoots, but will evaluate case by case.

• Hipcamp owns the rights to the photos but you are welcome to use them on social media or personal website (no competing platforms).

How much does this cost?

$100-150, depending on the quote we sent you. If you did not receive a quote, you can still sign up and we will confirm the cost at that time if you are eligible. There is no payment due upfront- we take the cost out of your next payout after the photos are live.

Why does the photographer stay overnight?

So they can get the best light! And because photographers often have to travel distances to get to your location. Staying overnight also allows them to write an authentic review. Learn more.

What if I need to cancel or reschedule?

Cancelations within 24 hours of the shoot are subject to a $50 fee, since we will need to reimburse the photographer. If there is bad weather ahead, try to reschedule with your photographer with enough notice. Learn more.

How long will it take to get a photographer? 

We can't guarantee a certain timeframe, but hopefully in the next month! If it's taking longer it could be that we don't have photographers in your area. Email us at photography@hipcamp.com if you're waiting too long and we'll see what we can do.

How can I prepare for the shoot?

Tidy up, mow the grass, put away yard tools, and most importantly: communicate with your photographer to let them know you're expecting them. If they don't hear from you at all, they might cancel. 

Will the photographer have a drone? 

Some photographers have drones, but not all so we consider it a bonus. Feel free to message your photographer and ask if they have a drone ahead of time.

Who owns the photos?

Hipcamp retains rights to the photos but you are welcome to use the photos in your social media marketing or on your personal website. Just not on competing platforms.
